自己愛性人格障害を持つ人々は、歪んだ現実の中に生きている。そのため、彼らが外界に求めるものは真実の人間関係ではなく、自分の姿を絶えず鏡のように反映させる他人である。この人格障害は単なる自己中心ではなく、深い自己の幻想であり、自分の真実のニーズや感情を認識することができない。そのため、現実と虚構の間を絶えず彷徨っている。

People with Narcissistic Personality Disorder live in a twisted reality. Consequently, their engagement with the outside world does not seek true interpersonal relationships, but rather individuals who can constantly serve as mirrors, continually reflecting their own image. This disorder is not merely self-centeredness, but a profound self-fantasy, rendering them incapable of recognizing their true needs and emotions, thus perpetually wavering between illusion and reality.
